Nikita Taylor Niki's a generally nice guy, with slight problems with women, coffee, and almost every male stranger who so much as talks to his boyfriend. His first book -written at the age of 19- was a bestseller, and brought in enough money to buy him an apartment and allow him to continue his easygoing writing hobby at ease. Niki's a somewhat homicidal and jealous character, although he does his damned best to cement it all under an ever ready smile.

Camille O'Brien Cam is Niki's irritable, sarcastic boyfriend who just can't seem to stop flirting (well, in Niki's eyes anyway) with other men. A byproduct of his parents' stupidity, he tries his best to separate himself from his family, and harbors deep resentment to his parents for giving him what he considers a 'girly' name. His main hobbies would be hanging out with his friends (that is, those he hadn't killed), hanging out with Niki's friends (those that Niki hadn't killed), and (although he won't admit it) making Niki jealous. Cam is somewhat of a spendthrift, although he hates being told so as much as he hates being called short. Cam's a fun-loving character who hides his personality and his past behind a raised eyebrow and a scowl.

Kym Engel Kym is, unfortunately, one of those characters who everyone wants to hate but can't bring themselves to it. He's funny, good-tempered, and was the one who taught Cam to really relax and have fun. Kym considers himself a man of many layers-- unfortunately, everyone else can only see the one on the surface.
